Summer Hair, DO Care

Summer weather is on the rise and if you are like me you always feel like you start the day with cute hair and by the end of the day it's up in the same boring pony or messy bun. That's not a bad thing, because who has time to stop your day to re-fix your hair. I though I would share a few of easy "do's" for summer that should make your life easier (and keep you cool).

First off, I LOVE bandannas when I work in the yard! Not only are they great for keeping the wispy hairs out of your face and from sticking to your forehead when you sweat but it adds a little "accessory" to your otherwise boring garden clothes; kind of like a "garden glam" head band, lol.
I have a ton of scarves so I'm looking forward to weaving them through my hair and trying some new looks, rather than the boring pony or bun.

Love this. I need to have my bangs cut ASAP and buy more scarves.    Hair and Beauty. 50 ways to wear a scarf. Maybe I can do this with pink scarves for the next three years!

Those are great for weekends or vacations but if you need something more professional for the office, or classy is just more your style, these are some that I look forward to rocking summer! Usually my hurdle is waking up early enough to do anything more than flat iron or curl my hair. But these are simple and with very little practice could be your go to look!

We are loving this casual cute twisted back bun style! Double your fun with 2 buns and an elegant swept back feel. Part hair in the middle, twist both sections back and secure with an elastic. twist each ponytail into a full bun and pin to secure. Spray hair with a bit of Big Sexy Hair Push Up to add texture and fullness before you style! https://www.sexyhair.com/push-up-dry-thickening-spray.html  <<< I'm dying to try this one very soon!

These 3 I have done in the car on a drive when I get bored (as the passenger of course, lol) they are super easy. Basically just leave a piece of your hair out when you pull it back, braid it, and pin it into the updo.

I have a ton more on my Pinterest Board "Summer Hair, Do Care." But I'll leave you with one more; this I saw recently in the airport and is a great idea for travel if you think about how much your leaning against the headrest. the split buns (or "space buns") are a great way to have your hair up but not constantly having to turn your head to avoid the un-comfort of the headrest hitting your bun.

Naperville

Over the weekend we were in Chicago and Saturday night we decided to visit Naperville. We stayed at Hotel Indigo which is right on the water and near to all the bars and restaurants. It had some really unique decor in the room and around the hotel. They have brunch on Sunday but we didn't have a chance to go. Parking is easy, and for the most, part free around Naperville. It's really a neat little area of the town; which I am told is home to over 147,000 residents, has 3 high schools, and is in 2 different counties!        The first place we checked out was a wine bar, below our hotel called " SixtyFour - A Wine Bar " ( 123 Water St #105a) . They have 64 wines on tap, but it's set up where you serve yourself. They give you a card (kind of like at the casino) and you insert it into one of the machines, choose your wine and how much you want (1oz, 3oz or 6oz). Put your glass under the spout and remove your card after it pours. If you watched my story I

Madison, Indiana

We had a wonderful weekend in Madison, Indiana this past weekend. We started out Saturday morning, taking back roads all through Indiana along the river. We went through Lawrenceburg, Rising Sun, Florence (Indiana not Kentucky, where Belterra Casino is), we crossed the bridge to see the Locks in Warsaw, KY, then onto Ghent. We found a wonderful family owned distillery ("Neeley Family Distillery") . It's near Kentucky Speedway, 11 generations of Distillers! From there we crossed back into Indiana and onto our final destination in Madison. The thing I love about road trips with my husband is all the things we see along the way! We never set out to drive somewhere and don't stop at least twice to see something random. We knew there were some good wineries along the way (Ridge Winery, Lanthier Winery and Thomas Family Winery) and we wanted to check out Rising Star Casino and Belterra Casino. Those we had planned, but the distillery was a fun find and being an engi

Las Vegas Girls Trip!

TRIP TIPS HELLO VEGAS!!! I had an amazing weekend with my ladies in " Sin City "! I've been there about 15 times over the last 6 years and none of my trips have ever been the same (or even similar.) I have never stayed in the same hotel twice and there is always something new to I learn on every trip. We used to have a good friend who lived in Southern California and would drive in to visit whenever we were in Vegas. We would go hiking during the day and hit the clubs at night; so over the years, I have hiked a lot of places in Nevada. Before this trip, the girls and I talked about seeing a show or doing something fun besides the club. So Thursday afternoon we decided to take a helicopter ride over Lake Mead, the Grand Canyon and around the area. Even having seen the beauty of these places before, seeing it from overhead was a whole new experience! I highly recommend checking out the helicopter tours since there is so much to see; this is a great way to cram it in a
