Indy

If you have never been to Downtown Indianapolis, schedule a trip ASAP! You don't need a lot of time, a weekend is perfect, but you will want to stay longer. The food is good, the people are friendly (as every place we have visited recently) and best of all when you go to pay out your tab most places will ask if you want a drink to go! This blew my mind the first time we went to Indy (this is actually are second time back). It's so strange but I love it! Any place where you don't have to chug your drink before you leave just puts my mind at ease for some reason. It was a little colder than we expected so I was glad I grabbed my favorite Express Jacket (here is one similar). I love the pockets bc it fits my IPhone 7+ and wallet and lipstick! (It was actually my "purse" for the evening). Antoher great thing about it is you can snap the top snap and leave it hang off your shoulders like a cape if you get hot. It stays on you but lets your arms be free! (Also great for on a plane).

(I was feeling very "Marilyn" but we didn't bring the camera and the phone pic didn't turn out great)

We went mainly for Armin van Buuren at the Pavillion! If you are into EDM music you know who he is, if not definitely look him up! The music and the venue were equally amazing! We drove up after work and Armin started about 9 and played only til midnight. But that gave us plenty of time to walk around since most of the bars stay open until 4am!! We did not stay out that late since we had worked all day but their bar district is a good time.

Friday morning we woke up and walked around the downtown area. Their TJMaxx is huge! Also if you are worried about getting around they have BIRDs and Limes all over the city! We found Tastings A Wine Bar (which is pretty much the same as the wine bar I mentioned in the Naperville Blog). Their mall is really nice too! I saw this at H&M and had to go back for it! It's actually a Men's shirt but I love it! (and has anyone else noticed that stores always make men's clothing thicker and warmer than women's?! Why is that?) The buildings downtown have really neat architecture so definitely walk around during the day and check them out if you go!

I know I didn't give a ton of information on this Blog but I SERIOUSLY recommend Downtown Indianapolis as a weekend destination! Stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton we did not want to leave; we seriously almost stayed another night! I think the room we stayed in had some impact on my thoughts for our house renovation we are currently working on.

Naperville

Over the weekend we were in Chicago and Saturday night we decided to visit Naperville. We stayed at Hotel Indigo which is right on the water and near to all the bars and restaurants. It had some really unique decor in the room and around the hotel. They have brunch on Sunday but we didn't have a chance to go. Parking is easy, and for the most, part free around Naperville. It's really a neat little area of the town; which I am told is home to over 147,000 residents, has 3 high schools, and is in 2 different counties!        The first place we checked out was a wine bar, below our hotel called " SixtyFour - A Wine Bar " ( 123 Water St #105a) . They have 64 wines on tap, but it's set up where you serve yourself. They give you a card (kind of like at the casino) and you insert it into one of the machines, choose your wine and how much you want (1oz, 3oz or 6oz). Put your glass under the spout and remove your card after it pours. If you watched my story I

Madison, Indiana

We had a wonderful weekend in Madison, Indiana this past weekend. We started out Saturday morning, taking back roads all through Indiana along the river. We went through Lawrenceburg, Rising Sun, Florence (Indiana not Kentucky, where Belterra Casino is), we crossed the bridge to see the Locks in Warsaw, KY, then onto Ghent. We found a wonderful family owned distillery ("Neeley Family Distillery") . It's near Kentucky Speedway, 11 generations of Distillers! From there we crossed back into Indiana and onto our final destination in Madison. The thing I love about road trips with my husband is all the things we see along the way! We never set out to drive somewhere and don't stop at least twice to see something random. We knew there were some good wineries along the way (Ridge Winery, Lanthier Winery and Thomas Family Winery) and we wanted to check out Rising Star Casino and Belterra Casino. Those we had planned, but the distillery was a fun find and being an engi

Las Vegas Girls Trip!

TRIP TIPS HELLO VEGAS!!! I had an amazing weekend with my ladies in " Sin City "! I've been there about 15 times over the last 6 years and none of my trips have ever been the same (or even similar.) I have never stayed in the same hotel twice and there is always something new to I learn on every trip. We used to have a good friend who lived in Southern California and would drive in to visit whenever we were in Vegas. We would go hiking during the day and hit the clubs at night; so over the years, I have hiked a lot of places in Nevada. Before this trip, the girls and I talked about seeing a show or doing something fun besides the club. So Thursday afternoon we decided to take a helicopter ride over Lake Mead, the Grand Canyon and around the area. Even having seen the beauty of these places before, seeing it from overhead was a whole new experience! I highly recommend checking out the helicopter tours since there is so much to see; this is a great way to cram it in a
