My Little Bathroom Nook

My little bathroom nook is finally complete! We been in the cottage for 5 months now and when we moved in it was the beginning of the shut downs so it was like just get moved in and deal with getting settled later! When we moved in it was a plane storage closet with the electrical box. I can't even remember if we had shelves or not. We purchased a little plastic 3 drawer storage box on wheels from Meijer and that was about it. We put an accordion door on it so we could close it (out of sight when we had guests). But honestly mid party I would realize we had forgotten to close it and our junk was still in sight! So here we are several months later, about to start on the main house but at least I finally finished this to enjoy the last few months or so while we are still living in the cottage!

Pink Washcloths from Target because our old ones met
their fate from a pen in the washing machine.

DIY TIP: If you have a bottle that you love
but you don't know what to do with it,
use it to hold mouthwash or other daily use
items. It is kind of funny at night after you brush
your teeth to take a swig out of a bottle. lol.

Pink Liquor with mouth wash in it
(it's actually very tasty, the liqueur that is.
I totally bought it for the bottle).

My Amazon apothecary jars and flower that holds Q-tips (or toothpicks).

It comes in a set of 2, here it is in white.
I'm not sure what I want to put in this one yet.

YES! I actually did find black Q-tips!

Here is the sort of before picture,  after I covered the shelves
with marble contact paper from Target.

Here is a look at my Apothecary Jars
before I put in the lower shelf
and curtain on the back wall!

LV Monogram IWatch Band

I promised myself I wouldn't get sucked into the world of IWatches but oops. Currently my wrist is in a brace, nothing major just a sprained wrist but I am missing having my watch!! Since I began wearing it all day everyday I decided I needed a fashionable band! I went to my "go-to" for online shopping and found the LV Monogram IWatch Band for under $30! I carry Louis Vuitton a lot so I was concerned that buying a dupe band the colors might be slightly off. I found one in the reverse monogram and absolutely LoVe it!! Hopefully my wrist heals soon so I can wear it again! Here is the link from Amazon! Enjoy!               CLICK LINK HERE

THE sweater dress to XO this holiday season

I LOVE this dress so much! I can't wait to find something to wear it to again (actually I might just hang out in it at home, lol). It is super comfy and flattering! I wore it to Mike's holiday work party last weekend, paired with gray OTK boots, a gray fur snood and my green Kate Spade bag. (the bag I wore is very similar, I could not find the exact one but the linked bag is on sale!) Also, the snood I wore was from LOFT a few years back and unfortunately no longer available but I did link one similar from Express (and it's on sale)! Perfect holiday look! Scroll down to get the links to my outfit and see the discount code for this dress!       Use Code: "Heather35" on xomandysue.com for 35% off!!

Madison, Indiana

We had a wonderful weekend in Madison, Indiana this past weekend. We started out Saturday morning, taking back roads all through Indiana along the river. We went through Lawrenceburg, Rising Sun, Florence (Indiana not Kentucky, where Belterra Casino is), we crossed the bridge to see the Locks in Warsaw, KY, then onto Ghent. We found a wonderful family owned distillery ("Neeley Family Distillery") . It's near Kentucky Speedway, 11 generations of Distillers! From there we crossed back into Indiana and onto our final destination in Madison. The thing I love about road trips with my husband is all the things we see along the way! We never set out to drive somewhere and don't stop at least twice to see something random. We knew there were some good wineries along the way (Ridge Winery, Lanthier Winery and Thomas Family Winery) and we wanted to check out Rising Star Casino and Belterra Casino. Those we had planned, but the distillery was a fun find and being an engi
