Cross Dressing

Ok so this might not be what you thought it would be about. I'm female so I by definition I couldn't truely be a "crossdresser." Well I suppose I could but that's for another discussion entirely, lol. This blog is about having two events in the same day, back to back and no time in between to go home and change. Let's face it most of us have been there. We lead busy lives and don't always have the convenience or time to wear multiple outfits in one day. (If you do have that kind of time please DM me and tell me how you do it.)

So the first thing you have to do is separate the events. We are going to the Ballet in the afternoon and a fundraiser in a high school gym tonight. So put yourself in the mindset that you are only going to one of them. What would you wear? Put together an outfit and set it aside. Next, focus on the other event and do the same thing. Set the second outfit aside. Think what you like most about outfit #1 then do the same with outfit #2.

I kept it simple and didn't over accessorize because I just needed the basics. You can add more or not depending on your time availability that day.
Next, as I stated earlier I took pieces from each that I liked most. It's cold today so going in to this I knew I needed pants or leggings. Plus if you're shooting free throws from mid court or climbing bleechers you want no "errors" in your outfit; that sealed the inspo for outfit #1. For the ballet I always think of pink and lace and bows; that was my inspo for #2.

Good luck on your challenges and tag me in your posts if you try this! I would love to see what you come up with and I love getting inspiration!

Naperville

Over the weekend we were in Chicago and Saturday night we decided to visit Naperville. We stayed at Hotel Indigo which is right on the water and near to all the bars and restaurants. It had some really unique decor in the room and around the hotel. They have brunch on Sunday but we didn't have a chance to go. Parking is easy, and for the most, part free around Naperville. It's really a neat little area of the town; which I am told is home to over 147,000 residents, has 3 high schools, and is in 2 different counties!        The first place we checked out was a wine bar, below our hotel called " SixtyFour - A Wine Bar " ( 123 Water St #105a) . They have 64 wines on tap, but it's set up where you serve yourself. They give you a card (kind of like at the casino) and you insert it into one of the machines, choose your wine and how much you want (1oz, 3oz or 6oz). Put your glass under the spout and remove your card after it pours. If you watched my story I

Madison, Indiana

We had a wonderful weekend in Madison, Indiana this past weekend. We started out Saturday morning, taking back roads all through Indiana along the river. We went through Lawrenceburg, Rising Sun, Florence (Indiana not Kentucky, where Belterra Casino is), we crossed the bridge to see the Locks in Warsaw, KY, then onto Ghent. We found a wonderful family owned distillery ("Neeley Family Distillery") . It's near Kentucky Speedway, 11 generations of Distillers! From there we crossed back into Indiana and onto our final destination in Madison. The thing I love about road trips with my husband is all the things we see along the way! We never set out to drive somewhere and don't stop at least twice to see something random. We knew there were some good wineries along the way (Ridge Winery, Lanthier Winery and Thomas Family Winery) and we wanted to check out Rising Star Casino and Belterra Casino. Those we had planned, but the distillery was a fun find and being an engi

Las Vegas Girls Trip!

TRIP TIPS HELLO VEGAS!!! I had an amazing weekend with my ladies in " Sin City "! I've been there about 15 times over the last 6 years and none of my trips have ever been the same (or even similar.) I have never stayed in the same hotel twice and there is always something new to I learn on every trip. We used to have a good friend who lived in Southern California and would drive in to visit whenever we were in Vegas. We would go hiking during the day and hit the clubs at night; so over the years, I have hiked a lot of places in Nevada. Before this trip, the girls and I talked about seeing a show or doing something fun besides the club. So Thursday afternoon we decided to take a helicopter ride over Lake Mead, the Grand Canyon and around the area. Even having seen the beauty of these places before, seeing it from overhead was a whole new experience! I highly recommend checking out the helicopter tours since there is so much to see; this is a great way to cram it in a
